These terms govern your use of the services provided by Emerald House Cleaning Referral Agency Inc. ("Emerald," "we," "us"), including this website and our cleaning referral service. By requesting a quote, booking a cleaning, or applying to receive referrals, you agree to these terms.

1. What Emerald is

Emerald is a referral agency. We connect customers who want house cleaning services with independent cleaning professionals ("Professionals"). Professionals are independent contractors. They are not employees, partners, or agents of Emerald, and they control the manner and means by which cleaning services are performed, including their own methods, supplies, and equipment.

2. Quotes, booking, and pricing

When you request a quote, we will confirm a price based on the information you provide about your home and the service you need. You may book on an hourly basis or at a flat rate for the job. Your confirmed price applies to the scope described in your quote; if the condition or size of the home differs materially from what was described, the price or time required may need to be adjusted, and we will communicate any adjustment before or during the appointment.

3. Payment

Payment is due as described at the time of booking. Fees paid to Emerald cover both the Professional's compensation for the cleaning and Emerald's referral fee for matching, scheduling, and customer support.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

Plans change — just tell us as early as you can. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment so the Professional can fill that time. Repeated late cancellations or lockouts (where the Professional arrives and cannot access the home) may result in a fee or loss of booking priority.

5. Satisfaction and re-cleans

If you are not satisfied with a cleaning, contact us within 24 hours of the appointment at contact@superemeraldcleaningreferralagency.com. We will review the issue with the Professional and work to make it right, which may include arranging for the affected areas to be re-cleaned.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the home at the scheduled time.
• Secure pets, valuables, and fragile or irreplaceable items before the appointment.
• Disclose conditions that affect the work, such as biohazards, pest issues, or recent construction.
• Treat Professionals with respect. We do not refer Professionals to households where they have been mistreated.

7. Damage or issues during a cleaning

Report any suspected damage or missing items within 24 hours of the appointment. Because Professionals are independent contractors, responsibility for damage caused during a cleaning rests with the Professional who performed the work; Emerald will assist in facilitating a resolution between you and the Professional.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emerald's total liability arising out of or relating to any cleaning appointment is limited to the amount you paid for that appointment. Emerald is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. For cleaning professionals

Professionals who accept referrals from Emerald do so as independent contractors. Professionals set their own schedules, may accept or decline any referral, provide their own transportation, equipment, and supplies, and are responsible for their own taxes. Acceptance into the referral network requires meeting our eligibility criteria, including prior paid professional experience and completion of our interview and screening process. Continued referrals depend on customer feedback and adherence to these terms.

10. Acceptable use of this website

You agree not to misuse this website, including by submitting false information, attempting to disrupt its operation, or scraping its content for competing services.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
